Wow! We knew this was going to be popular, but we weren’t expecting to fill up so quickly. We are closing the registration and will be reaching out to those that have submitted to confirm their seats.

This was something a little different that we were excited to offer the community because we know many have never even ventured out of the county. Seeing the interest, we will definitely take that into consideration for the future.

Step aboard the Adventure Bus for a trip to explore COSI and to view the Unofficial Galaxies Exhibit on Saturday, June 14!

The Adventure Bus is a charter bus provided by the Chillicothe & Ross County Public Library thanks to a grant from the Burton Stevenson Foundation and the Friends of the Library. The bus will travel to Columbus, Ohio, to the Center of Science and Industry (COSI) on Saturday, June 14, so that participants will have the unique opportunity to explore both COSI and the Unofficial Galaxies Exhibit at NO CHARGE!

Space is limited for this event, and all slots might be full by the time you have a chance to register, however, we encourage you to sign up for the waitlist. Registered participants might need to cancel due to illness or an emergency, and those on the waitlist will be designated to fill those slots.

Registration Instructions – Please Read Carefully

1. Registration is REQUIRED for this event.
2. Submitting an application does not guarantee registration. You will receive a confirmation email once your application has been received and verified.
3. Each household member must be registered using a separate form.
4. Must be a resident of Ross County.
5. This event is open to participants ages 5 and up — no exceptions.
6. You may only register members of your immediate household.
7. Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
8. If someone other than a parent or legal guardian (age 18+) will accompany a child, that designated adult must register at the same time as the immediate family.
9. All participants are required to sign a waiver release form on day of trip.

COSI Schedule for June 14

8:30 am: Arrive at Main Library for check-in and light breakfast in the Annex Building.

9:00 am: Board bus / Cutoff for arrival. We will leave promptly at 9:00. If you do not show up before 9am, your spot will be passed on to someone on the wait list.

9:30 am: Leave the library

10:30 am: Arrive at COSI, unloading

11:15 am / 11:30 am – Unofficial Galaxies Ticket Time

11:00 am - 4:00 pm: Explore COSI

1:00 pm - 2:00 pm: Lunch provided

4:00 pm - 4:30 pm: Board the bus 

6:00 pm: Arrive back at the Library

Other Notes:

Restrooms are located on the bus. The bus does not have a wheelchair lift, but there will be space under the bus to place a wheelchair if needed.

Please note that once you exit the Unofficial Galaxies Exhibition, you will not be able to re-enter, however, you will be able to explore all the other wonders at COSI.
