Request for Quotes due Friday, September 26

The Chillicothe & Ross County Public Library is requesting quotes for snow & ice removal for the 2025/2026 winter season.

The contract will consist of snow removal and ice treatment on parking lots and sidewalks at the following locations when snow accumulates 1” or more and icing occurs:

Main Library & Annex  140 S. Paint St., Chillicothe
Northside Branch  550 Buckeye St., Chillicothe
Kingston Branch  29 N. Main St., Kingston
Frankfort Branch  167 Springfield St., Frankfort
Richmond Dale Branch  770 Main St., Richmond Dale

  • Quotes will be accepted for individual locations or any combination of locations as a group.
  • The Main Library/Annex and Northside Branch locations must be cleared by 8 AM Monday through Saturday and by 12 noon on Sunday. All other locations must be cleared by 12 noon on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and by 9 AM on Wednesday. All locations should be kept clear of snow and ice during regular business hours.
  • Please quote hourly rates for laborers and the type of equipment to be used. (Ex: pickup truck w/ blade, skid loader, dump truck, front-end loader, etc.). Also, please quote price(s) for calcium chloride or magnesium chloride ice melt.

All contractors are required to provide proof of workers’ compensation coverage and $1,000,000 general liability and $300,000 automobile liability coverage. Upon award of contract, contractor should submit a cut sheet detailing the ice melt product to be used.
