30x30 Adult Reading Challenge

Read 30 minutes a day for all 30 days in November, and you’ll be eligible to win one of 30 free gift cards for pizza from Giovanni’s Pizza in Chillicothe!

No matter whether you read physical books, eBooks, graphic novels, magazines, or listen to audiobooks, all reading time counts towards finishing the challenge.

You were rewarded for reading with pizza as a kid – so why not as an adult, too?

Taking part in the contest is easy:

  1. Hit the “Register Now” button above to head to our Beanstack page.
  2. Sign up for the 30x30 Challenge (you’ll be asked to create a free Beanstack account if you don’t have one yet. It takes just a couple minutes!) You can pre-register for the 30x30 Contest before November 1!
  3. When you finish reading each day, mark that day as completed on your Beanstack reading log.
  4. Anyone who completes the challenge will be eligible for the drawing! All submissions must be in by Tuesday, December 2. Winners will be notified by Friday, December 12. 

How to get caught up if you've fallen behind:
We know this time of year can get busy! If you miss a day—or even a few—you can easily get caught up using the Beanstack App. To qualify for the drawing, log all of your reading by the end of the day on Tuesday, December 2.

Step-by-Step: How to Log Past Days
Step 1: Open the Beanstack App
Step 2: Tap the green plus sign (+) at the bottom of your screen and select “Reading.”
Step 3: Choose “Log Without a Title.”
Step 4: Under “Log reading for…,” click Change and select the November date you want the entry to count for.

Repeat for any days you missed—and you’ll be right back on track!

Official Rules

  • Open to participants 18 years or older.
  • Read and log at least 30 minutes every day for all 30 days in November.
  • Completed reading logs must be returned to a library branch or submitted through Beanstack by Tuesday, December 2 to be eligible for the prize drawing.
  • Only one entry per completed reading log.
  • Library staff decision is final in all prize matters.

FAQ's

Do audiobooks count?
Yes — listening to an audiobook counts toward your 30 minutes each day.

Can I combine different formats in a single day?
Absolutely. A mix of eBooks, print books, and audiobooks is fine — minutes add up.

When does the challenge start and end?
The challenge runs for the entire month of November (November 1–30). Make sure your log shows 30 days of reading.

I am unable to use the Beanstack app, is there another way to track?
Sure! We have paper trackers available online or printed at each library if you would like, just make sure to return by December 2.
