Meet Heather, our new Peer Recovery Supporter.
I’m Heather! I’m a person in long-term recovery. I’ve suffered with addiction and mental health issues for many years, which lead me to a 3-year prison stay. It was through finding my pathway to recovery that I was able to make it it of my addiction. I learned to build positive support through communication with others in recovery. That’s what works for me, so I’m excited to be positive support for others! Looking forward to supporting you in your pathway to recovery, because I understand and can relate!
I can help you find resources in Ross County for treatment, mental health, or just to talk! If you see me at the library, I’ll be happy to sit with you to chat. I can also schedule a call or Zoom meeting.
Speaking of Zoom, please watch our events calendar for my weekly Peer Support Chats!
Contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org, or call/text 740-851-0312.
I have been there, and I can help.
Heather joins the library thanks to a grant from the Department of Justice Bureau of Justice Assistance, awarded by the Ross County Health District.
