We do not currently have any openings. As positions become available, we will post them here and at SouthCentralJobs.com. Applications will only be accepted for a specific position when posted, and unsolicited applications will be destroyed on receipt.
Volunteers bring energy, enthusiasm, special skills, and a new perspective to the library. The Chillicothe & Ross County Public Library welcomes volunteers and uses them in a support role to supplement the efforts of paid library staff for various special projects and programs. Your help and your time are greatly appreciated.
It is essential that volunteers make a real commitment to the library, and they are expected to act in accordance with library policies and to reflect positive customer service attitudes to all library patrons.
Volunteers are individuals, 12 years of age or older, who contribute time, energy, and talents directly to or on behalf of the Chillicothe & Ross County Public Library and are not paid by library funds. All volunteers must apply and be accepted by the library prior to performance of library tasks.
We have two volunteer programs at the library:
Adult Volunteers and VolunTeens.
